Introducing The 2010 Springfield 3rd Ward Relief Society Theme

A Place of Holiness comes from Doctrine and Covenants Section 109:8..."Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God."

If you can, please bring an item from the list by March 12th

At the Stake Activity (R.S. Spring Break in Branson) we’ll be putting together items donated by our sisters for our LDS servicemen and women in Afghanistan and Iraq. The list of items needed is below. Many of these items can be used in good condition, so please don’t feel obligated to spend any money.
Donation boxes will be in the foyers and the R.S. room. You can also bring items with you to the activity on Friday, March 12th.

The following list has items that we are focusing on:
Foot powder (Gold Bond, etc)
Deodorant (men’s stick deodorant)
Body wash for men, no fragrance, small size, plastc container
Hand Sanitizer
Shaving gel (not aerosol)
Frisbees
Puzzles
Crossword Puzzles
Yo-yo’s
Stationary
Beanie baby type small stuffed toys (for soldiers to give to local children)
Lip balm (blistex, carmex, etc)
1” paint brushes and fine makeup brushes (to clean dust out of guns)

We may also need funds to mail the boxes. We can use the postal boxes to the APO addresses. If you would like to donate funds for postage, please submit it on your tithing form to “Other” and identify as postage to soldiers.
We want to emphasize that this project is voluntary and no one should feel pressed to participate. Any personal products should be new and in closed containers. Please don't feel like you need to spend any money - puzzles, and toys can be used if in good condition. Thank you for your help!
