A House of Order


REMINDER: This Friday, April 30th is the Ward Adult Meeting "A House of Order" from 6:30-8:35. Please plan on attending! We will be learning how to put our homes in order. There will be classes on Budgeting, Estate Planning, Avoiding Debt, and 3-month food storage in case of emergencies. The schedule is as follows:

6:30-6:55 Dessert Served, Opening Prayer, Video Presentation

7-7:30
7:35-8:00
Class on Budgeting by Marianne Hill in the YW Room

7-7:30
7:35-8:00
Class on Food Storage/Menu Planning by Sister Anderson in the Primary Room

8:05-8:35
Class on Estate Planning in the YM Room given by Matt Towns

8:05-8:35
Class on Moderation given by Dan & Marilyn Smilie in the R.S. Room

As you can see a couple of these classes overlap each other, you will have time to attend 3 out of the 4 classes, so be deciding now which ones you would be most interested in.

Canning: Tuesday April 13th at 6:00 p.m. OR Wednesday April 14th at 10:00 a.m. PLEASE CONTACT SISTER JENNIFER JONES to let her know which one you will be attending.

Priest-Laurel Prom from 6-9 at the South Stake Center (Also, if anyone is interested, The Chapmans are having a dinner at their home prior to the dance and some of the kids will be either going bowling or skating-in their prom gear ;-) We'll take a vote to decide which one to do. Please let us know if your son or daughter will be coming so we know how much food to provide. "New and Healthier You" Meeting

This Wednesday April 7th we are having our New and Healthier you big group meeting 6:30-7:30 at the Crosby/Brown house
3597 W. Sexton Street
we will be doing our measurements weight and also our body fat percentage and also sampling a healthy recipe from Sister Nothum.

Couple of Reminders and New Info

Canning night has turned in to "Canning Night/Canning Morning". You choose which date and time works best for you. Tuesday April 13th, they will be canning at the church at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday April 14th, canning will be at 10 a.m. Please let Sister Jennifer Jones know which date is better for you.

Also, I'm trying to get the word out that we have a new blog for money-saving tips, couponing, etc. The web address is www.aplaceofsaving.blogspot.com. If you have any tips you would like to add, please contact me (Amber Chapman) and I will be sure to post them.

GENERAL CONFERENCE is this weekend. Sessions are Saturday (April 3) and Sunday (April 4) from 11-1 and 3-5. This can be viewed at www.lds.org, just follow the link. It can also be viewed via Satellite, check your local listing for channels. And, if you do not have access to either of these, you are more than welcome to come to any LDS Chapel and watch conference.
